That's what reparenting is. And it's one of the most quietly transformative things you can do.

I was going through a difficult phase when I got recommended Subuhi's 6-week course on Reparenting your Inner Child through my therapist, and enrolling in her course was one of the best decisions. She created a warm environment for an open discussion and helped me through some of my recurring concerns. The sessions were always engaging and challenging, sometimes bringing personal emotional outcomes that would challenge my thinking further. It wasn't easy to go back to your younger self to unpack and try to improve what you couldn't for the longest time, but Subuhi had a constructive and documented approach to putting a name to my issues and how to resolve them.

 

The exercises in the course help me so much that I can now genuinely feel whenever my body is in distress. My body conveys that something is wrong and should be taken care of immediately. And I think that is a considerable development for me. She also sent us supporting documentation, and I got to engage in a written exchange that is often more constructive than expressing thoughts orally. The programme moves through four connected phases:

  • Understanding your inner child and how early experiences shape the nervous system

  • Building inner safety and beginning to regulate

  • Compassionate reparenting - learning to meet your own needs with care

  • Integration, bringing what's shifted into your daily life.

 

Four live group calls are included, alongside daily practices, guided meditations, and somatic tools you can return to long after the programme ends.

A note on the group

There is something particular about doing this work alongside others who understand, not to perform your healing, but to be witnessed in it. The group is intentionally kept small
